High-speed internet coming to Edmonson County

EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – A meet and greet will be held to discuss a new benefit to the county.

Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation and North Central Telephone Cooperative are partnering to ensure faster internet to the general area. On June 17, locals can learn more at the Brownsville Community Center from 4 to 6 p.m.

Using a fiber network, NCTC delivers fast internet to businesses and homes. Compared to copper-based internet connectors, fiber is more reliable and less susceptible to damage.

It will be powered by Warren RECC to provide a consistent speed of 1G per second and a new secure system for locals.

“Warren RECC and NCTC have partnered in an effort to bring affordable, reliable high-speed fiber internet to parts of Edmonson County,” said Warren RECC.

Edmonson County locals can ask questions and learn more about this advancement at the meet and greet. See the Edmonton Fiber Service Map below.
