High school football athletes named to ALL SKY Conference teams

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Thursday at Greenwood High School, SKY Conference put on its annual high school football awards ceremony.
Athletes across Southcentral Kentucky were recognized for making All SKY Conference teams for both large and small schools.
For most teams, the 2025 season has concluded, but even for the few that are still competing in the postseason, there’s no shortage of schools that come to represent their program.
“It’s great to have this event at the end of the year,” Greenwood football head coach Will Howard said. “Some teams are still playing, and I know that’s a big night for them tomorrow night, but it’s always good to have it and recognize some great players in Southcentral Kentucky.”
One of those teams still alive in the playoffs is Bowling Green, and head coach Mark Spader shared what he enjoys about voting for the All SKY Conference teams.
“It’s neat when we get together as coaches to vote for these teams,” Spader said. “It’s not so much that we’re pushing our players on the team, it’s the views of other coaches in the area and what they think about your players.”
Overall, the night is enjoyed all around by coaches to recognize the hard work of players that stand out in the football community all season.
“A lot of these guys you compete against on Friday nights throughout the season,” Barren County football head coach John Myers said. “But this is a night that you can come together and celebrate as one.”
