Monday’s rain storms flood local roads
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- On Monday, Warren County was under a flood advisory until 9:35 pm and a flash flood watch until 3 am. The heavy rain caused ponding on roads to rise.
With roads being submerged, Warren County Emergency Management is encouraging the public to keep a watchful eye while driving in areas near bodies of water.
Officials from Emergency Management say what may seem like a small amount of water can cause big problems.
“It might look like just a few inches of water, but you just don’t know. You could drive off the edge of a bridge, you could be swept away, there could be some potholes or road construction that’s not visible to you,” said Warren County Emergency Management deputy director Timothy Robinson.
Warren County Emergency Management also encourages the public to inform local law enforcement of flooded roads.
