Hearing set for Plano Richpond Road rezoning

PLANO, Ky. – A hearing has now been set for a hot topic in the community of Plano.

On Aug. 10, the Warren County Fiscal Court will host a hearing on the potential rezoning of 974 Plano Richpond Road.

The Fiscal Court will hear from members of the community who are both for and against this new rezoning.

One Plano resident who has lived there for 20 years and has family roots in the community for 60 years says one of the main concerns residents are worried about is the road itself.

“Increased traffic, which would jeopardize the health and safety of our residents. It’s a narrow road with two 90 degree curves and two blind spot hills. The entrances of the subdivision would would be on Plano Richpond Road,” Robert Davenport says.

He also says residents have noticed sinkholes near the area and a cave once occupied by Native Americans that they want to preserve.

The hearing will take place on August 10th at 8:30 at the Courthouse downtown.
