Health News – NY polio case dubbed “very tip of the iceberg”

A “silent” spread of the polio virus in New York is prompting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to consider additional vaccinations for some people.

Now, especially since the virus has been detected in wastewater samples in New York City and in two counties that neighbor the city.

A senior agency officials says the one confirmed case is just the “tip of the iceberg.”
