Hart County’s first annual Jason Gedda firework celebration

HART COUNTY, KY – On every Fourth of July weekend for the past twenty years, Hart County football coach Jason Gedda would put on a firework show at the campground he owned.

But after his unexpected passing just last month, the fireworks are now a way to honor and celebrate a man who loved his community.

“He always loved seeing the smiling faces of children coming out,” Sonya Gedda said. “Because we allow people in the park, they will come up to him and say, ‘Oh, we’re glad that you’re doing this for us. We have never got to see fireworks before.’ That really warmed his heart. So, we continued to do that and grow it and each year he always tried to beat the year before of how fireworks were done.”
