Hart County Veterans Committee hosting sale to support veteran hall, food pantry

HORSE CAVE, Ky. – The Hart County Veterans Committee will be bringing the community together for a yard sale this Saturday, Sept. 6.

Twenty dollars will get you a 15-foot space to sell new or used items, but you will get a $5 refund if you clean up after yourself when the event is over. Locally produced items and food vendors will be part of the festivities, and the selling starts early at 8 a.m.

The committee seeks to bring people together.

Sheryl Bailey with the fundraising committee for the Hart County Veterans Committee says, “We are focusing on our veteran community, but others are totally welcome. When we do our community events, we encourage you to come in and support it and keep our family neighborhood type atmosphere going here.”

The funds raised will be used for renovations to both the building and the gazebo, as well as funding the food pantry. The event gives those who could not hold yard sales at their home the the opportunity to participate in the all-American summer activity.

The event will take place at the committee’s building at 3324 S. Dixie Highway. For more information, click here or call Bailey at 270-537-5724.
