Hart County Schools mourns loss of senior high school student

HART COUNTY, Ky. – The Hart County school system is mourning the loss of Hart County High School student Schyler Oldham.
An obituary posted by Brooks Funeral Home says Schyler Oldham was 18 years old and died on Thursday, Sept. 25.
According to a social media post by Hart County Raiders Football, “Schyler was more than a teammate—he was a brother, a leader, and a light to everyone who knew him. He proudly represented Hart County as both a member of our football team and our cheer team, giving his all no matter the uniform he wore. His smile, energy, and love for the game—and for his teammates—will forever be remembered on and off the field and sidelines.”
The Hart County Raiders ask the community to “keep Schyler’s loved ones, friends, coaches and teammates in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
“His impact will live on through the memories we cherish and the legacy he leaves behind,” the team stated. “Rest easy, No. 22. Once a Raider, always a Raider.”
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, with a service of remembrance starting at 7 p.m.
Visitation continues on Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at Brooks Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Millerstown Cemetery.
