Hart County man accused of manufacturing and selling meth

HARDYVILLE, Ky. – The Hart County Sheriff’s Office released information about an arrest involving the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

On Tuesday, the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police and the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 909 Liberty Schoolhouse Road.

According to his citation, John Wayne Gardner was arrested after officials say he was manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine as well as growing marijuana.

Gardner’s citation says officers located a bag containing glass jars with hundreds of pseudoephedrine pills as well as an ammo can full of plastic tubing, suspected drain cleaner, suspected salt and other items associated with the manufacturing of meth.

Officials also found several firearms and signs that belonged to the city and county road departments in the residence.

Gardner told law enforcement the meth and illegal items belonged to him.

Gardner is charged with trafficking and manufacturing methamphetamine, marijuana related charges and other charges enhanced with the possession of a firearm.
