Hart County Animal Shelter wins $3,000 grant

HART COUNTY, Ky. – The Hart County Animal Shelter has received funding in the form of a grant.

According to rescuers, the shelter won $3,000 from Maddie’s Fund.

Maddie’s Fund is a family foundation established in 1994 by Dave and Cheryl Duffield and is the fulfillment of a promise to their inspirational dog, Maddie, according to their website.

The foundation says it has awarded over $287.5 million in grants. The local shelter located in Munfordville is the 2024 grant winner.

The Hart County Animal Shelter is also participating in Clear the Shelters through Sept. 10. Adoption fees at the shelter are currently just $50.
