Hardin Co. woman indicted after allegedly trying to suffocate infant

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. – A Hardin County woman is formally charged in connection with a reported child abuse case.

According to WNKY News 40 media partner K105, 27-year-old Brooke Elizabeth Anne Corner of Radcliff is accused of trying to suffocate her infant with a pillow.

Corner was recently indicted on charges of first-degree strangulation (domestic violence) and first-degree criminal abuse (victim under the age of 12), according to court documents.

K105 reports the incident occurred on the night of June 7 at a residence on University Drive in Radcliff when Corner was seen trying to suffocate her child with a pillow.

A witness told authorities that Corner held the pillow over the child’s face for between one to two minutes and that she had to physically be stopped from suffocating the  child.

Corner was arrested that same day. She remains lodged at the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
