Hardin Co. man charged with child sexual exploitation offenses

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – A Hardin County man is facing charges related to child sexual abuse material.

The Kentucky State Police says it arrested Jacob Reynolds, 30, of Elizabethtown on Friday after an undercover online investigation.

Reynolds is charged with three counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12 and one count of possess/view matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12.

KSP says its Electronic Crime Branch discovered Reynolds sharing images of child pornography online. As a result, authorities say they executed a search warrant and gathered equipment used in the crime.

KSP says the equipment will be under examination. Reynolds remains at the Hardin County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
