Halloween trick or treating times released

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Recommended Halloween trick or treating times have officially been release by the Bowling Green Police Department.

With COVID-19 causing cancellations, the fate of Trick or Treating in the area has been under question.

Police recommend turning off your porch light if you do not plan on participating.

While things could change at any time, for now, police are encouraging the public to trick or treat safely between the hours of 4:30 and 7:30 on Halloween night according to BGPD Officer Ronnie Ward.

As always, police recommend throwing out any opened candy, avoiding homemade candies, and advise drivers to be extra vigilant to keep children safe.

It is also a good idea to have something reflective on costumes and carry a flashlight.
