Habitat for Humanity ready to help Kentucky families find homes
BOWLING GREEN Ky.- The Bowling Green Housing Authority isn’t the only local organization looking to help families in need.
Kentucky Habitat for Humanity has launched a movement called the 2020 Housing Vision. It’s is a three-year, multi partner collaborative housing initiative where housing providers will work together to improve the lives of those Kentucky families who need a home.
Through the initiative, housing providers will accelerate the construction of all types of affordable housing, ranging from homeless shelters to single family homes.
Executive director of the Bowling Green-Warren County Habitat for Humanity, Rodney Goodman, said he’s thrilled to help families get out of the downward spiral.
“We want to be able to provide an affordable housing solution that enables them to have those opportunities. It’s very exciting to be a part of that,” Goodman said.
The 2020 Housing Vision was launched in 2018 and will continue through the year 2020.
