Habitat for Humanity celebrates 100th home milestone
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Habitat for Humanity is celebrating a huge milestone. They’ve completed 100 homes in Bowling Green!
Governor Beshear stopped by for the celebration. He presented an award from the Team Kentucky Nonprofit Assistance Fund- $100,000 for the organization!
The non-profit built their first home in Rockfield in 1991. It’s taken 30 years for the organization to get where they are today in helping so many families!
They’re trying to up their capacity. In the last year alone they’ve built 10 homes.
“I’m just happy to be a part of it and to be able to witness all the sacrifices and so many things people have made to make this possible is pretty cool,” said Habitat for Humanity of Bowling Green Executive Director Rodney Goodman.
