Gulf of America now appears on Google Maps

Google says it’s now the Gulf of America. If you’re like a lot of people, when President Donald Trump changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico, you checked Google Maps. For a while, it still read as the Gulf of Mexico, well, not anymore. The company says its policy is to change names when they have been updated by official government sources. Trump changed the name through an executive order last month, and Google Maps is now reflecting that change. But, users in Mexico will still see the name Gulf of Mexico. Everywhere else, users will see both names.
