Guide to free Thanksgiving meals for those in need

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Members of the community are working together to set the table for those in need this Thanksgiving.
Below is a list of free Thanksgiving meals being held throughout the viewing area:
Allen County
- Turkey Giveaway: Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at New Bethel Community Church at 3709 Bowling Green Road in Scottsville. Free frozen turkey, along with all of the fixings giveaway on a first come, first served basis. One hundred total turkeys will be given away until they are gone. Hands and Feet of Jesus will also be providing a free, hot meal.
- PRMC Thanksgiving Giveaway: Pleasant Ridge Mission Church and Oak Grove Baptist are teaming up to give away 200 free turkeys and 150 food baskets, while supplies last. This will take place Saturday, Nov. 22 from 8 a.m. to noon at 1924 Pleasant Ridge Church Road in Adolphus.
- Free Grab-and-Go Thanksgiving Lunch: Nov. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the VH Dream Center at 201 S. Court St.
Logan County
- Free Thanksgiving Meal at Logan County Extension Office: Sunday, Nov. 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 255 John Paul Road. Each meal will include ham, mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans, macaroni and cheese, rolls and a brownie while supplies last. Deliveries are available by calling 270-893-1189 and must be arranged by Nov. 22.
- Free Community Thanksgiving Meal: Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. at Crittenden Drive Church of Christ in Russellville at 620 Crittenden Drive.
Warren County
- Free Community Thanksgiving Lunch at First General Baptist Church: Saturday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 311 W. 10th St. in Bowling Green. Meals will be fixed and provided in a to-go box.
- A Thanksgiving Feast for All: Thursday, Nov. 27 from noon to 1 p.m. Served at Broadway UMC’s Melrose Campus in Bowling Green. The church states all are welcome. “This isn’t charity—it’s community. Whether you bring a favorite dish to share or simply bring yourself, you’re part of the family here,” the post states. More here.
