GUIDE: Back-to-school bashes and school supply drives

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Families have the chance to prepare for school as a community at several events.
Below is a list of school bashes and supply giveaways in multiple counties:
BARREN COUNTY
Cram the Cruiser is being hosted on July 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cave City Dollar General on 299 E. Happy Valley St. More information here.
Stuff the Ambulance from Aug. 1 through Aug. 2. More information here.
Back-to-school bashes:
- Austin Tracy on Aug. 1 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Eastern on Aug. 6 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Hiseville on Aug. 9 from 3 to 7 p.m.
- North Jackson on Aug. 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Park City on Aug. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Red Cross on Aug. 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Temple Hill on Aug. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Barren County Middle on Aug. 8 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Barren County High on Aug. 7 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
BUTLER COUNTY
Back to School Bash: The Butler County Family Resource Youth and Service Center, community partners, and Morgantown Mission have partnered up for the Back to School Bash. On Aug. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m., the bash will offer free swimming, food, school supplies and more. The Back to School Bash will take place at Morgantown City Park on 227 Helm Lane.
HART COUNTY
Cram the Cruiser is being hosted on July 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Horse Cave Family Dollar on 985 E. Main St. More information here.
LOGAN COUNTY
Back-to-School Bash on July 28 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Hampton Park. Students can enjoy music, inflatables and food and receive backpacks and school supplies.
Back-to School event for all Logan County and Russellville school students. Food trucks will be available, plus games, inflatables, free haircuts, school supplies and more. The event is set for July 31 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Logan County Extension Office.
SIMPSON COUNTY
The Franklin Police Department’s Back-to-School Bash is Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students can hang out with Franklin police officers, and enjoy a cookout and inflatables. This will be located at 501 West Madison St.
The Franklin Police Department is also working with AARP to donate school supplies. The department says that there will be a box in the lobby of the police station to drop off donations. The lobby is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. More information here.
WARREN COUNTY
The Barren River Area Safe Space, better known as BRASS, is hosting a school supply drive. More information here.
