Greenwood High School holds socially distanced graduation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-A local high school celebrated the accomplishments of its graduates a few months late.

Greenwood High School class of 2020 celebrated their accomplishments at 6 p.m. Friday.

To keep everyone distanced, graduates were recognized in increments of six, with 20-minute time slots each.

The celebration was held in the school’s auditorium, where everyone was to wear a mask. Graduates were expected to remove their masks for photo ops only.

Graduate Patrick Haycraft said this entire experience has taught him to appreciate the little things.

“This experience in its entirety has taught me that the small things that you take for granted and those experiences and memories that you think you’re going to have time to make is something you should pay attention to. You should strive to appreciate them as much as possible,” Haycraft said.
