Greenwood Baseball’s Coach Jaggers Plays Integral Role in Sr Showcase

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – There is just a week and a half left until one of the hottest sports events of the summer takes place in the July 25th Senior Showcase game at Bowling Green Ballpark.

As you might imagine, it takes a number of people to pull off an operation of this size, but one of the most important parts in doing so was Greenwood High School’s Head Baseball Coach, Jason Jaggers.

Coach Jaggers spoke to WNKY 40 Sports about the process of putting together next weekend’s high-anticipated exhibition match and said as soon as Hot Rods’ General Manger/COO Eric Leach proposed the idea of a Senior Showcase, he was all in.

The Greenwood Gators’ commander-in-chief did a majority of the leg work in regards to reaching out to other local high school coaches about the idea.

Jaggers says they were just on board as he was, and believes this Senior Showcase is the perfect way to send out local high schoolers who had their senior season on the diamond taken away from them this past spring.
