Green River Ferry Crossing construction delayed
MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky.- Construction has been delayed on a new vehicle ramp extension project at Mammoth Cave National Park.
The construction is now delayed until Monday, July 8 due to changes in the contractor’s construction timeline. The three-week delay in the start date will not change the construction schedule’s end date, which remains Friday, November 15.
The slight delay will now allow the Green River Ferry Crossing and parking area to be open and accessible during the busy July 4 holiday weekend
The Green River Ferry ramp extension project will extend the current vehicle access ramps into the Green River by 30 feet which should allow the ferry boat to operate during periods of low water levels.
