“Grease” performs at SKYPAC to huge reception
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday and Saturday night at SKYPAC, the Bowling Green community got to travel back to a simpler time with 2 performances of the iconic show “Grease.”
The show was a huge hit with those who attended, and on top of seeing a classic movie on the stage, there was also a mini reunion of sorts, featuring specialty drinks, music from the 50’s and a slideshow of some old high school yearbook photos.
Arts of Southern Kentucky director Jeff Reed says he’s seen the movie before, but this was the first time he’d actually seen the show, and he was amazed by the cast & crew.
“We’re really thrilled to have a… bring professional theater to Bowling Green. Many of the people are graduates from WKU who have now gone on to do other things in life, but they have that theater background… and we have people from California & New York… so these are all people who perform at a professional level, so it’s been a really impressive event,” he says.
News 40’s own Ashlee Wilson even took part in the show as the stern principal of Rydell High School, Miss Lynch.
