‘Grease’ coming to Bowling Green on Nov. 22 and 23
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you’re looking for some local fun, “Grease” is the word… or at least, the show coming to the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center.
While we may not be living in the Summer Nights of the ’50s, the stage is set to heat up Nov. 22 and 23 courtesy of the Ramsey Theatre Company and BG On Stage.
A couple of local celebrities are set to take part in the show, including News 40’s very own Ashlee Wilson!
We spoke to director Diane DiCroce, who says, in a way, she’s been devoted to this show, although not quite hopelessly.
“I did this show twice as an actor many years ago, once in college and once on the professional level… so to revisit this show as a director, putting all the pieces together has been just a joy,” she says.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, but starting at 6 p.m., you can take part in a Rydell High Reunion, featuring songs from the time period, drinks themed after the show and a mini yearbook slideshow.
So you better shape up, and use that ol’ Greased Lightnin’ to hit the road for some nostalgic fun.
