Grayson County sheriff discusses man arrested for online sex crimes

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – Residents of Grayson County are still confused, angered and concerned with the events that have transpired within the past week.

Twenty-nine-year-old Zackery Robinson of Caneyville was arrested on multiple charges, including five counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Robinson stalked multiple women online, taking photos for their personal social media pages and placing them onto a pornographic website, according to authorities.

Among the victims were Grayson County residents, including family members of Grayson County sheriff Norman Chaffins. Chaffins spoke with News 40, discussing not only his frustration but the frustration of an entire community.

“Obviously, everyone is extremely angry. That anger turns into concern for their children, and whether they have been victimized by this man. Many of these photos were taken in people’s safe places like their Facebook page, and in some instances, their places of worship and then placed on a porn site,” Chaffins said.

Chaffins also offered a warning to those who do enjoy posting pictures online for their friends to enjoy.

“Nowadays, if you transmit it, assume that someone other than the person you send it to is receiving it. It’s now the world we live in,” Chaffins said.

Robinson is currently lodged in the Grayson County Jail and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 14.
