Grayson County man arrested after allegedly firing gun, attacking officers and woman

ANNETA, Ky. – A Grayson County man was arrested following a shooting incident.
According to K105, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at a home on Joe Carroll Road in Anneta on Saturday morning.
Deputies say they located 23-year-old Matthew R. Loughran at the home.
Loughran allegedly fired a gun and assaulted a woman while intoxicated, according to his arrest citation.
“During my investigation, I observed multiple items broken and thrown throughout the residence,” the deputy wrote in the citation. “… I also observed that (Loughran) was highly intoxicated.”
According to the citation, deputies observed a single bullet hole in the ceiling.
Deputies arrested Loughran and transported him to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center for medical clearance.
Loughran allegedly kicked a deputy and two Leitchfield police officers at the hospital. He allegedly threatened to kill one of the deputies and his family.
Loughran was eventually medically cleared and transported to the Grayson County Detention Center.
He is charged with three counts of third-degree assault of a police officer, felony wanton endangerment (discharge of a firearm), fourth-degree assault (dating violence), third-degree terroristic threatening, and first-degree disorderly conduct.
K105 says Loughran is no longer listed as an inmate at the detention center.
