Governor orders flags to half-staff to honor late civil rights leader

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Andy Beshear ordered flags to be half-staff at all state office buildings to honor civil rights leader Jesse Jackson next month.
According to a release, the half-staff order is set for March 7 from sunrise to sunset to honor the life of civil rights leader Jesse Jackson.
Jackson died on Feb. 17. He was 84.
Gov. Beshear asks businesses and organizations in the commonwealth to take part in the tribute.
