Gov. Beshear orders flags lowered to half-staff in honor of West Virginia National Guard member

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff until sunset Thursday, Dec. 4, in honor of West Virginia National Guard Specialist Sarah Beckstrom.

This follows a shooting that resulted in fatal injuries for Beckstrom and hospitalized Andrew Wolfe, a U.S. Air Force staff sergeant, according to CNN.

Beshear encourages individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the commonwealth to join in this tribute.
