Beshear: Kentucky grandparents caring for children can receive support

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kentucky has one of the highest rates of Kinship Care in the United States. Over 50,000 Kentucky grandparents have taken on the responsibility of raising their grandchildren.

The Kentucky Caregiver Program is giving Kentucky children more opportunities to thrive.

“We want to make sure every Kentucky child is in a loving home that is stable that put’s them on a path to prosperity and at a time where we’ve got a good job not just here but coming. We’ve got a chance to do really special things leaving no one behind making sure every Kentucky child succeeds,” Gov. Andy Beshear says.
