BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Early voting has already begun for the Kentucky general election. Candidates are making their final push to voters ahead of election day next Tuesday.

Governor Andy Beshear made a campaign stop at Western Kentucky University this morning.

Beshear was accompanied by Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, Attorney General nominee Pamela Stevenson and former Rep. Patti Minter.

Beshear told students how important it is to vote on Tuesday and exercise their right.

He also spoke about the negativity he says he’s seen in his opponent Daniel Cameron’s campaign.

“What we’ve seen from my opponent is the most negative campaign that I’ve ever witnessed. I’ve tried to talk about our record… record setting economy , what we have done for public education, what we’re doing for infrastructure right now, the types of jobs we’ve brought right here to to Bowling Green,” he says.

Beshear also says he will make another stop in Bowling Green on Saturday to knock on doors and rally support before Tuesday’s election.
