Gordon Ford College of Business offers professional clothing

For most college students, finances are often tight.

This makes it harder for them to buy professional clothes.

However, the Gordon Ford College of Business is changing that.

From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Gordon Ford College of Business is offering its professional clothes closet.

This is part of their Business and Professionalism Week at Western Kentucky University.

This is the third year the college of business has offered professional clothing.

Students were able to sign up and receive one free outfit, such as suits, pants, dresses and more.

All of the clothing available to students was donated from faculty, staff, the community, and the Business Executive Advisory Council.

We spoke to Monica Duvall, the Internships Coordinator of the college of business.

Duvall says the closet prepares students for the business world and provides relief when they can’t afford the clothes.

She also says zero dollars have been spent on the clothes to date.

However, in order to grow the closet and maintain its success, they will need money.

That’s why they are 1 of 5 finalists for the Sisterhood Grant of WKU and have applied for 30,000 dollars.
