LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Goodwill Kentucky’s Goodwill Giving Day campaign has raised nearly $100,000 from more than 850 donors.

According to a release by Goodwill Kentucky, Giving Day occurred on Oct. 1, with golf scrambles, fundraisers and regional events helping to support the event’s mission.

One such golf scramble took place in multiple cities, including Bowling Green.

Each event brought community leaders, business partners and golf enthusiasts together for a day of networking and friendly competition while raising funds for Goodwill’s programs and services.

“Goodwill Giving Day is more than a single moment—it’s a movement,” said Andrew Gillette, Goodwill Kentucky’s director of development. “Whether it’s through golf scrambles, community fundraisers or online giving, every effort is about helping Kentuckians overcome barriers and build brighter futures.”

In addition, Goodwill Kentucky’s 12 Opportunity Centers gained support through locally driven initiatives as part of the Giving Day Challenge.

Each center competed to raise the most funds and also took part in Give for Good Louisville, one of the region’s largest days of charitable giving.

Funds raised during the campaign will support Goodwill Kentucky’s efforts to provide free services, including career coaching, job training, educational opportunities, expungement services and holistic support for Kentuckians facing obstacles such as homelessness, justice involvement and lack of education.
