Glasgow police to conduct traffic safety checkpoints in July

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department will conduct traffic safety checkpoints in city limits from July 2, 2024, through July 31, 2024.

According to a media release, the safety checkpoints will be conducted at Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway, Happy Valley Road, and other select locations.

Officers will be enforcing laws related to motor vehicle operation while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, licensing of motor vehicles and operators, registration and insurance violations, seat belt and child restraint violations, and motor vehicle equipment violations.

Police say checkpoints are conducted throughout the state of Kentucky to promote highway safety.
