Glasgow police sergeant honored for stopping unsafe drivers

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department recognized Sgt. Wesley Hicks today for his effort in keeping drivers safe on the road.

Today, Hicks was presented with the Governor’s Award for the 2021 Impaired Driving Enforcement and the Governor‘s Award for the 2021 Occupant Protection Enforcement.

In total, Hicks made 31 impaired driving arrests and cited 129 seat belt violations from the time frame of October 1, 2022 until September 30, 2021.

The GPD said they would like to thank Hicks for his hard work and dedication to their department and community, according to a release.
