Glasgow police respond to collision on North Race Street

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department responded Tuesday to a collision on North Race Street.

Officers say they responded to the scene for an injury accident.

While there, police say they learned a 2016 Nissan Sentra driven by a juvenile was traveling northbound on North Race Street and did not see a 2013 Mazda driven by George Helms that was trying to turn right into the Graves Gilbert parking lot.

Police say the vehicles collided, with the Nissan hitting the back bumper of the Mazda.

George Helms and a passenger identified as Carol Helms were transported by Barren/Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for their injuries.
