Glasgow police respond to collision at Veterans Outer Loop intersection

UPDATE: The Glasgow police department says Friday they got a call to respond to the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and West Main Street concerning an injury accident.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a 2015 Nissan Rogue operated by Robin Dotson from Cave City was driving on Veterans Outer Loop. Dotson then attempted to make a left turn onto West Main Street and pulled into the pathway of a 2019 Freightliner, operated by Marquise Bates from Dallas, Georgia.
After the impact, the semi-truck drove off the right shoulder of the road and hit a fence before coming to rest in a field.
Robin Dotson and Marquise Bates were transported by the Barren/Metcalfe EMS to T J Samson Hospital for their injuries.
The accident was investigated by Officer Mathew Rishkofski, assisted by the Barren/Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Fire Department.
GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department responded to a collision Friday.
According to GPD major Terry Flatt, a tractor-trailer and passenger car collided at the intersection of 68-80 and Veterans Outer Loop.
He says the road has reopened.

The collision remains under investigation.
