Glasgow Police Department renovates headquarters

GLASGOW, Ky.- If you’ve driven through Glasgow recently, you’ve probably noticed some impressive changes around town, particularly at the Glasgow Police Department.

About five years ago, the GPD embarked on a major renovation project to update its headquarters. The improvements include a striking new mural, a redesigned parking lot and several other enhancements to better serve the community.

Major Terry Flatt shared that police chief Guy Howie has made significant strides in transforming the building, emphasizing that the new parking layout provides a more convenient and accessible experience for visitors.

“It’s a little bit shorter of a walk to the front door and easier to access,” Flatt noted.

The updated parking lot is expected to be completed today, marking a key milestone in the renovation. News 40 will continue to provide updates on these exciting developments as they unfold.
