Glasgow Police Department hosting Holiday Heroes Toy and Food Drive

GLASGOW, Ky. – Starting today, the Glasgow Police Department is gathering toys and food for those in need.
GPD is accepting holiday donations for residents in Barren County. They say they will fill as many requests as possible pending on donations received.
You can contribute by donating a new, unwrapped toy as a gift for anyone between the newborn stage to the age of 16. You may also help by donating non-perishable food items.
Drop off locations include the Glasgow Police Department and the Glasgow Fire Department. GFD Station 1 is located at 203 South Broadway St. and Station 2 can be found at 130 Cross St.
If you know someone seeking assistance this holiday season, send a private message to GPD on their Facebook page. In the message, include the person’s name, age, address and phone number.
Donations will be accepted through Dec. 6.
Residents receiving donations will be called once enough donations have been gathered to fill a box for them. Pick up dates will be between Dec. 20 and Dec. 21.
