Glasgow Police Department conducting traffic safety checkpoints in March

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department is conducting traffic safety checkpoints in March.

According to Major Terry Flatt, traffic safety checkpoints will be set up at Columbia Avenue, North Jackson Highway, Happy Valley Road and West Main Street from March 6 until March 31.

Flatt says checkpoints are not limited to these locations.

Officers will enforce laws regarding operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, licensing of motor vehicles and operators, registration and insurance, seat belt and child restraint and motor vehicle equipment violations, according to Flatt.
