GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints from June 7 through June 30.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, these checkpoints will be within Glasgow city limits, including but not limited to Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway and Happy Valley Road.

The department says officers will be enforcing laws related to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, licensing of motor vehicles and operators, registration and insurance violations, seat belt and child restraint violations and motor vehicle equipment violations.

Police say these checkpoints promote safety and the well being of the public, along with visibility and interaction with the community.
