Glasgow Police are asking parents to stay alert after possible abduction scare
GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department is asking people to keep a watchful eye on their kids following a possible attempted child abduction scare earlier this week.
A white van was spotted near Gorin Park and Park Avenue on Wednesday, witnesses said people inside a van approached multiple children and attempted to take them.
Glasgow Police have a very limited description of the van and have been unable to find it or determine if there is any credible threat.
Glasgow has not a had a child abduction in recent history, and while there were no kids harmed during the incident, they still want parents to stay alert.
“If you’re going to let your kids play outside in the yard, just have a parent or guardian there taking care of them and overseeing. Just kind of keep an eye out, if you do see anything suspicious give us a call,” said Sgt. Terry Flatt, public Information officer at the Glasgow Police Department.
If you have any information on the possible abduction attempt, you are asked to contact the Glasgow Police Department.
