Glasgow officially appoints new police chief
GLASGOW, Ky.- The city of Glasgow officially appointed its new police chief Monday evening.
Jennifer Arbogast replaces Chief Guy Howie, who recently retired from the Glasgow Police Department.
Arbogast began her career at the Glasgow Police Department in 2002 as a patrol officer. She became a captain in 2014.
Last year, she completed a 10 week leadership training program with the FBI.
According to Glasgow Mayor Harold Armstrong, seven candidates applied for the police chief position.
