Glasgow native is Trump’s pick for next United Nations Ambassador

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- President Trump has nominated a Glasgow native as the new United States Ambassador to the United Nations.

The President tweeted out Friday evening that he is nominating Kelly Knight Craft, who is the current Ambassador to Canada.

Knight Craft was born in Fayette County, but grew up in Glasgow. She graduated from Glasgow High School in 1980 and then the University of Kentucky in 1984.

Her father was once chairman of the Barren County Democratic Party.

If confirmed, knight craft would replace Nikki Haley, who stepped down last month.
