Glasgow man served with murder indictment summons
A Glasgow man was served Thursday with a criminal summons issued after a Barren County grand jury indicted the man on one count of murder Aug. 22.
Bobby Ray Conatser, 52, is accused of shooting Kevin M. Miller, 40, of Scottsville in the back after the two engaged in an altercation on Lick Branch Road in Glasgow where Conatser lives, according to a July release from Kentucky State Police.
A passing motorist found Miller deceased on the side of the road July 8 and called state police. Later that day, state police charged Conatser with murder after they said they determined Conatser fired a shotgun striking Miller in the back, according to the release.
Conatser was lodged July 8 in the Barren County Corrections Center and posted 10 percent of a $500,000 surety bond July 30, online jail records show. An arraignment in the case is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 24 in Barren Circuit Court.
