Glasgow man cited following alleged vehicle thefts in Beaver Dam

BEAVER DAM, Ky. – A Glasgow man is cited after allegedly breaking into three vehicles.

According to a release, the Beaver Dam Police Department received surveillance footage from a resident of a home in the 300 block of North Madison Street regarding a possible vehicle theft on Jan. 1 at 1 a.m.

The video shows a man with a ski mask on and another wearing a black hoodie.

The release states that one of the individuals ran onto the porch and covered the security camera.

Police report that a small sum of money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at the residence.

The resident told officers that they had confronted the two individuals, and both ran off toward West Fourth Street.

Police report additional thefts occurred on Broad Street and Lafayette Street on Jan. 1.

BDPD says Michael O’Dell of Glasgow was identified as the suspect who ran onto the porch and covered the camera.

O’Dell was cited on three charges of theft by unlawful taking or disposition.

O’Dell’s arraignment is set for Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. at the Ohio County Circuit Court.

The second individual has not been identified.
