Glasgow man charged with assault, strangulation

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is charged with assault and strangulation.

Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Major Terry Flatt says the department located a female victim with a cut on her cheek and redness on her neck at a residence on Lauderdale Drive on Wednesday.

Officers say the victim told them she had been in an argument with another individual that resulted in physical violence.

Flatt says Shane Pruitt, 40 of Glasgow, was arrested and is charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury and first-degree strangulation (domestic violence related).

Pruitt is lodged at Barren County Detention Center.
