Glasgow man charged with assault of police officer

GLASGOW, Ky. – One man has been charged with assault of a police officer in Glasgow.
According to the Glasgow Police Department, officers responded on Monday to East Cherry Street for a domestic complaint.
Police say upon arrival, they made contact with Shawn Coleman, 50, of Glasgow, who they say became combative with officers, striking one in the face area.
Authorities say officers deployed repulse spray on Coleman, who was taken into custody.
Coleman was arrested and faces charges of menacing, resisting arrest and third-degree assault – police officer or probation officer.
