Glasgow man charged after allegedly firing gun during argument

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is facing charges related to a report of shots fired on Sunday.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, officers received a call just before 7:30 p.m. regarding a man firing a gun at the caller.

Police say the caller was in her vehicle with her children at 46-year-old Chad Alexander’s home when an argument ensued between her and Alexander.

During this time, the citation states Alexander allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired it into the air.

Police say the caller left right after the gunshots and contacted officers.

Officers say Alexander later admitted to getting a pistol and firing it into the air.

When asked about the gun, police say Alexander stated he “drove way out and ditched it.” Police say they later located it at a nearby residence.

Alexander was arrested and transported to the Barren County Detention Center.

Due to the number of individuals on scene during the incident, Alexander is charged with four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment (discharge of firearm) and tampering with physical evidence.
