Glasgow man accused of kidnapping woman

GLASGOW, Ky.- A Glasgow man is charged with kidnapping after authorities said he forced a woman to his home where he subsequently assaulted her.

According to Glasgow police, the incident happened on October 4.

Police said John Johnson, 35, visited a residence where the woman was staying and forced her to leave.

Police said the victim told them that Johnson made her drive him to his residence, where she was forced to stay against her will.

The woman also accused Johnson of assaulting her multiple times. At one point, Johnson took the woman to the hospital for treatment, and according to police, told the hospital staff that the woman had fallen down some stairs.

Johnson is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center and charged with kidnapping, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and second degree assault-domestic violence.
