GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is accused of assaulting his girlfriend Tuesday evening.

Barren County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident in progress, and upon arrival the roommate of the couple was sitting outside and told deputies that the people involved were inside. Deputies could hear loud swearing from a man and a woman coming from inside the home on Hidden Lake Road.

A deputy detained Bryan Allen Perry, 32, based on the information from the original call that the man was attacking the woman. The woman had injuries to her face, according to Perry’s arrest citation.

Perry told a deputy when the couple was arguing he pushed his girlfriend and she fell down causing injuries to her face, according to his citation.

The woman had a large visible knot on the right side of her face with fresh wounds to the left side of her face and neck.

The deputy asked Perry if he had anything illegal on him and Perry said he had something in his shirt pocket. A deputy found a capped syringe in his pocket, and in Perry’s back pocket some suspected methamphetamine, according to his arrest citation.

Perry was charged with fourth-degree assault domestic violence, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of a controlled substance second offense.

He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. As of Wednesday morning, Perry’s bond had not been set, according to online jail records.
