Glasgow High School salutes its seniors
GLASGOW, Ky. – Monday morning, a local high school safely celebrated the hard work of its seniors.
The event, called “Cars, caps, and gowns” was the first of its kind put on by Glasgow High School to celebrate its 2020 graduating class of 130 seniors.
Throughout the event, students received balloons, had their cars decorated, secured their caps and gowns, and even enjoyed prom goodies. The special occasion kicks off a week of celebrations that will continue through Thursday.
Glasgow High School Principal Dr. Amy Allen said this is a great way to celebrate the senior Scotties, while still keeping everyone safe.
“We’re just really trying to make the best of a situation that we’re in with the coronavirus pandemic right now, and since we can’t all be together, we wanted to something really special for our seniors to let them know how much they mean to us and to salute them and to honor them,” Allen said.
